For Town and Country and Giving Local

As part of our commitment to ‘Local Helping Local’, Town & Country is working every day to make a difference to the people and communities we serve.

During the month of October, we took a lead role in highlighting the importance of mammograms and regular screenings for other types of cancer through our ‘Check ME’ public service campaign. Our support funded hundreds of public service announcements on many local television stations and social media and highlighted the critical role that the Maine Cancer Foundation provides to help prevent and fight cancer in Maine. Our involvement also included support for Q-97.9’s Annual Cans for A Cure event and a financial contribution of more than $1,500 to MCF.

In addition, we were also a lead sponsor of the 2021 Maine Girls Flag Football season this fall. As part of our support of the 150+ girls participating, Town & Country also sponsored the 2021 League MVP awards. This league continues to grow in popularity and provides an opportunity for girls in grades 3-8 to participate and be part of a team experience.

As part of Ending Hunger Action Month, Town & Country took action by making a contribution to every school district in Cumberland York Counties in support of school food pantries and backpack programs. Collectively, our contribution provided more than 12,500 meals to children in southern Maine.

Town & Country also partnered with Pineland Farms to offer fall fun to members and their families as part of our Fall Member Appreciation Day. More than 200 families enjoyed a day out with the corn maze, animals, and nature. We are grateful that we were able to say, “Thank You,” to members through this free event.

The above is just a tip of the many events, organizations, and causes that Town & Country has supported recently. Through our ‘Local Helping Local’ initiative, we are continuously seeking opportunities to be involved in and make a difference in our communities.
