With Apple Pay, instead of using your actual credit and debit card numbers when you add your card, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored. And when you make a purchase, the Device Account Number alongside a transaction-specific dynamic security code is used to process your payment. So your actual credit and debit card numbers are never actually shared by Apple with merchants or are transmitted with payments.
To use Apple Pay in stores that accept contactless transactions.
Look for the contactless symbol at the register. When the cashier is ready, hold your iPhone close to the contactless reader.
Use Touch ID to verify the payment with your fingertip. A subtle vibration and beep verifies that your payment information has been sent.
If asked for the last 4 digits of your card number, provide the last 4 digits of the Device Account Number, which can be found by selecting the ⓘ icon in Passbook
In participating apps, checking out is as easy as selecting Apple Pay and placing your finger on Touch ID.
If the credit card you'd like to use with Apple Pay is already in iTunes, you can quickly add it to Passbook by opening Passbook and entering the card security code.
To add a new card to Passbook, use the iSight camera to instantly capture your card information, or type it in manually. Once your card is loaded successfully, your card will appear in Passbook.
Apple Pay is a new way to pay using the iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch1, iPad Air 22, or iPad mini 32. Just add your favorite credit or debit card to Passbook and you'll continue to enjoy all the rewards, benefits, and security of your card when you use Apple Pay. There's no charge for adding your card to Passbook or using Apple Pay.
1 Apple Watch will be available in mid 2015 and will be Apple Pay compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus for in-store purchases only.
2 iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 are Apple Pay compatible for purchases in apps only.
Apple Pay is easy and secure. It's a new way to pay, with enhanced security features that help protect your credit and debit card information. Payments are authorized using Touch ID and your actual credit or debit card account number is not stored on your device. You'll continue to enjoy all the rewards, benefits, and security of your card when you use Apple Pay.
Apple Pay is available on all Town & Country-branded Visa® cards.
Passbook stores your credit or debit card for use with Apple Pay. If the card you'd like to use with Apple Pay is already on-file in iTunes, you can quickly add it to Passbook by opening Passbook and entering the three digit card security code from the back of your card.
To add a new card, open Passbook, then swipe down and tap the plus sign. Follow the instructions to add your card data manually or using the iSight camera to instantly capture your card information.
Once your card is loaded successfully, a card image similar to your credit card will appear in Passbook along with a message saying that your card is ready for Apple Pay. You'll also receive a confirmation enrollment email.
In some instances, your card image in Passbook may reflect a representation of your Town & Country-branded card.
The first card you add into Passbook automatically becomes your default payment card for Apple Pay, but you can go to Passbook at any time to pay with a different card or select a new default. Just go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay, tap on Default Card, and select your card.
Apple Pay is currently accepted at hundreds of thousands of stores and within participating apps.

Apple Pay is safe and secure. Your actual card number is not stored on your device or transmitted with the transaction. When you add your credit card to Passbook, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element, a dedicated chip in iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. And when you make a purchase, the Device Account Number alongside a transaction-specific dynamic security code is used to process your transaction. If the merchant requests the last 4 digits of your card number, please provide the last 4 digits of the Device Account Number, which can be found by selecting the ⓘ icon in Passbook.
And, don't forget, your purchases are protected with $0 Fraud Liability on Unauthorized Charges. If you ever suspect fraud on your account, please call us at 800-649-3495.
For security, Apple Pay uses a Device Account Number, which is a unique number assigned to each card. If the merchant requests the last 4 digits of your card number after you've made a purchase with Apple Pay, please provide the last 4 digits of the Device Account Number, which can be found by selecting the ⓘ icon in Passbook.
If you lose your card, please contact us immediately. Your actual card will be deactivated, but you can continue to use Apple Pay since Apple Pay uses a unique Device Account Number and not your actual credit card number. Once we reissue you a new card, your Apple Pay information will be updated automatically.
With Apple Pay, you authorize each purchase with Touch ID or your passcode. These features help prevent other people from using Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad.
If your iPhone or iPad is lost or stolen, you can go to icloud.com/find or use the Find My iPhone app to suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay from that device with Apple Pay. Your cards will be suspended or removed from Apple Pay even if your device is offline and not connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network.
You can also call the number listed on the back of your card. Let one of our Card Services Representatives know that you lost your device and they will suspend or remove your cards from Apple Pay.
Please note: We cannot remove non-Town & Country issued cards from your Apple Pay wallet. You will need to contact those issuers separately.
