A Reminder That Could Save a Life
At Town & Country, we believe being a member means more than financial wellness — it means caring for your total well-being. That’s why we’re proud to continue our long-time partnership with the Maine Cancer Foundation to encourage Mainers to take an important step this month — and every month — toward better health: get your cancer screenings.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but cancer doesn’t follow a calendar. Screenings save lives — and too many people put them off. Town & Country’s CHECK ME campaign, in partnership with Maine Cancer Foundation, includes nearly $45,000 in donated airtime from the credit union. A public service announcements will air on TV and radio in October and November and is a simple, powerful reminder to stop and ask:
“When was my last screening? Am I due for one?”
Whether it’s for breast, cervical, colorectal, prostate, or skin cancer, early detection can make all the difference.
“CHECK ME is about empowerment,” said Dave Libby, President & CEO of Town & Country FCU. “We want every Mainer to feel confident asking their provider about screenings. Health and financial wellness go hand-in-hand — and both are part of building a better life.”
