A Message from Dave Libby, President & CEO of Town & Country FCU
October is National Co-op Month, a time to celebrate the power of cooperation and the impact that credit unions and other cooperatives have on building stronger, more connected communities. At Town & Country Federal Credit Union, these values have guided us for nearly 75 years. And this year, I’d like to talk about a bold way we are embracing our cooperative values—Collab: By Town & Country FCU.
Collab is a new initiative created to bring people together to explore ideas, share perspectives, and support one another through meaningful collaboration.
It began with the visionary spirit of Town & Country, and our dedication to breaking the mold and making a better world. Our passion for education, innovation, and community support resonated with a greater purpose to unite individuals and organizations.
Through Collab, Town & Country seeks to cultivate a thriving, engaged community where members support one another, celebrate progress, and explore new ideas. Whether you’re organizing a local initiative, seeking partners for a new project, or simply curious to connect and learn, Collab is here to support you.
We see Collab as a way to share resources, spark conversations, and create new opportunities. Town & Country will continue to invest in our community through sponsorships, volunteering, and the Better Neighbor Fund. Whereas Collab is a platform for individuals and organizations to share ideas, raise their hands, and work together to make our world a better place.
Collaboration and cooperation are essential in addressing key societal issues and driving meaningful change. We have identified seven Impact Goals for Collab that we believe are crucial for the betterment of our communities: financial wellbeing, food inequality, health, education, environment, sustainable cities and communities, and technology. By collaborating on these seven areas, our communities will be resilient, inclusive, and capable of thriving in a rapidly-changing world.
At Town & Country, we’ve always believed in painting outside the lines. Through Collab, we extend our commitment to Maine, its people, and its potential and beyond. Together, we are unlocking potential, driving change, and uniting for a greater good.
I invite you to be part of this movement. Visit collab.org and follow Collab: By Town & Country FCU on social media. Let’s think boldly, act with purpose, and shape a brighter tomorrow.
