Summer has always been one of my favorite times of year in Maine. It’s a season when our communities come together to celebrate everything that makes this place so special—from local festivals and concerts to neighborhood gatherings and family traditions.
At Town & Country, we’re proud to help make many of those moments possible.
This summer, we’re excited to once again host our Member Appreciation Days, where we can thank the people who make our credit union so special—you, our member-owners. We hope you’ll join us for free treats, giveaways, and the opportunity to connect with our team. It’s one small way we can show our appreciation for your trust and membership.
Beyond our branches, you’ll also see Town & Country throughout the communities we proudly serve. We’re honored to be a leading financial supporter of events including South Portland’s Fourth of July Celebration, Scarborough SummerFest, the Scarborough Summer Concert Series, Summer in Congress Square in Portland, Fringe Fest in Biddeford and Saco, and many other local events throughout the season.
Supporting these events isn’t simply sponsorship—it’s part of who we are. Our commitment to Local Helping Local means investing in experiences that bring neighbors together, strengthen local businesses, and create lasting memories for families across southern Maine.
Summer also offers a wonderful opportunity for young people to begin building lifelong financial skills. For many teens, a summer job is their first paycheck and an important first step toward financial independence.
That’s why I encourage parents and grandparents to consider opening a Youth Rewards Checking Account with their child or grandchild. It’s a great way for young people to learn how to manage money responsibly while still benefiting from parental involvement and guidance. They can deposit paychecks, use a debit card, monitor spending, and begin establishing healthy financial habits that will serve them for years to come.
