Trying Together: Town & Country Boosts 2025 Tri for a Cure with Nearly $23,000 Donation
On Sunday, July 20, 2025, hundreds of women swam, biked and ran along the coast of South Portland for the annual Tri for a Cure, Maine’s only, all-women’s triathlon benefiting the Maine Cancer Foundation (MCF). Once again, Town & Country Federal Credit Union was proud to fuel this inspiring event by contributing nearly $23,000 to support cancer prevention, early detection, and access to care for Mainers.
Town & Country’s contribution reflects more than just financial support—it represents a longstanding partnership with MCF and a deep connection to the cause. For years, the credit union has been a strong advocate of the Tri for a Cure, with employees volunteering, fundraising, and even competing to honor loved ones impacted by cancer. This enduring relationship has helped amplify the foundation’s mission and extend its reach to communities across the state.
David Libby, President and CEO of Town & Country, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Cancer has touched countless lives, including those of our employees, members, and their families. Supporting the Tri for a Cure and the Maine Cancer Foundation is our way of honoring survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and standing with those still fighting. We are proud to continue this long-time partnership that not only raises critical funds but also inspires hope and strength throughout Maine.”
Every dollar raised through the Tri for a Cure is invested back into Maine communities, funding life-saving programs and research. With nearly $23,000 contributed to this year’s event, Town & Country continues to drive progress in the fight against cancer.
