Food insecurity is a serious issue across our communities with a growing number of neighbors struggling to put food on the table. Local food pantries are working hard to keep up with the increasing demand.
As part of our local helping local outreach, Town & Country supports community food pantries and other feeding programs through financial donations, volunteer time and event sponsorship to help ensure that our neighbors do not go hungry.
As we approach the holiday season, Town & Country is inviting you to join us in helping support the work of several local food pantries.
TCFCU Food Drive
From November 3rd through November 14th, Town & Country is hosting a food drive at each of our six locations across Southern Maine – South Portland, Portland, Scarborough and Saco. We are hoping to help fill the shelves of area food pantries with an abundance of the most needed non-perishable food items including:
- Canned soup
- Canned meat
- Canned fruit
- Boxed dinner helpers
- Mac and cheese
- Cereal – hot or cold
- Canned pasta with sauce
- Canned vegetables
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
Drop by one of our branches and look for the donation box.
Ending Hunger Donation
Each year, Town & Country raises money through employee contributions and community donations to support the credit union ending hunger campaign. During the month of November, we invite you to donate to this fund. The money we raise will support the work of our local food pantries throughout the year. Town & Country will match the total amount of donations received in November up to $2,500. Follow this link to make your donation today.
